Listings for Frogs (1)
If you want to have a clever creature as eager to learn about as you are about him, frogs make excellent pets. Frogs are smart and love to soak up the limelight with crazy faces and a curiosity about their world. Frogs like to eat live bugs and also thrive on canned crushed crickets found at your local pet store. However, there are also breeds that prefer some nice mice for an evening meal. So before you purchase your new amphibious friend, it's a good idea to study the dietary, care and housing units required to make your frog thrive then make a sound decision if you are able to care for him. For example, the smaller frog breeds do well with life in a glass tank, which may vary in size, shape and depth. Whereas the popular choices for larger frogs remain the aquatic, terrestrial or arboreal type tanks found at a nominal cost at the pet shop. Be sure to jazz up your frog's home with some gravel and various textures to stimulate his senses.
